Bio on Rev. Dr. Gloria A Burrell
I was a petite, sensitive child raised on a small farm in the country of Olympia, Washington. In many ways it was a perfect childhood of playing in the woods, petting the cows and eating farm raised beef and fresh garden vegetables. It was not until I became a young adult that I realized how damaged I was from the physical, mental, emotional and sexual abuse.
I became obsessed with wanting to heal myself. I felt like Humpty Dumpty who couldn't be put back together again. My greatest fear was that I was damaged beyond repair.
It didn't take long for me to figure out that I needed to love, believe in and trust myself but knowing this did not create it within me. I read books and attended workshops looking for someone who could show me how to literally do these things. I found no one. Everyone kept telling me what to do outside of myself--treat myself nice, take my vitamins, exercise, etc. Intuitively I knew this was surface and going the wrong direction. Doing things on the outside of myself somehow didn't translate to the energy of self-love or self-worth within me. I knew I had to do 'something' energetically within myself first and then this would flow out of me into the physical world.
I didn't have a clue what this meant or how to do it. But I had a very strong, crystal-clear thought come to me that said, "what you want has energy form and structure, just like a chair." Wow, what a radical thought, especially back in the 1970s but it made sense to me. I had not heard of the term, quantum physics at the time. Soon after this I did fall down the proverbial rabbit hole.
Preparing me for working with the energy world of frequencies as well as the subconscious mind was Radionics. I began teaching Radionics in the latter 1970s. Radionics is a modality of healing that utilizes a black box which has now elevated to a computerized program. The program had the energy frequency for every organ, illness and system in the body. I received saliva samples from individuals all over the world and would then create a 35 page body scan detailing their acid-alkaline balance, allergies, parasites, heavy metals and so on. I learned at this time that cancer can be diagnosed 7 years before it is clinically diagnosed. The Radionics machine enabled me to do long distance (remote) healing on individuals all over the world (Australia, Japan, Europe, England, east coast).
From this knowledge base I evolved my own original work. I had stepped into an arena that was not scientifically validated at that time but it was as real as anything in the physical realm to me. Years later I learned that I had stepped into the quantum realm of energies.
I had a midwife assist me with the birth of my son, Aaron, so I was able to have him at home in my own bed. When he was a year old I became a single parent. Utilizing my work, I was able to heal myself so I did not project or role model my dysfunctional behavior.
When I observed parents giving their children Tylenol for teething I began giving free classes to educate parents on how to work with children naturally. I ended up authoring the book Natural Remedies for Children.
My interest in nutrition, herbs and health began when I was in my early twenties and was diagnosed with endometriosis. I could barely stand up straight. In a lot of pain I allowed the doctors to perform exploratory surgery but was not impressed with the options. This was a pivotal moment in my life as I choose to not go the medical route and stepped into the herbal/health arena.
Growing and juicing my own wheat grass, encapsulating powdered herbs and cleansing, I healed myself. I was told I could never have children and my son is evidence that they were incorrect. Over the past 30 years I have used my nutritional-emotional-spiritual knowledge to work with myself many times (regarding high blood pressure, gums problems, eye problems, kidney distress, cancer and open heart surgery.
college out of state for 2 years (yes, that was a long time ago). My major was psychology and sociology and minor counseling. My professional life began as a secretary, moving into the legal realm when I became head of circuit court, the felony cases, in Eugene, Oregon.
In the nineties I returned to college for a B.A. in Communications and a Masters and Ph.D. in Metaphysics.
In 2003 I left my Portland home to move to Los Angeles to produce a radio show on my work called "Heart-Mind Conversations". In 2006 I completed a deck of 96 cards that will be published in 2008. In January of 2007 I was gifted with a very intense learning experience called cancer. The spiritual opportunities this has provided me have been incredible and I am looking forward to sharing these in 2008.
Throughout my life it has been important to live my values and walk my talk. This has usually meant not taking the easy way but the way that would afford me the greatest healing and learning experiences.
It is my hearts intent to help individuals see their beauty, feel their innate power and enjoy their life. The work that I have been given to share saved my life and I am sharing it with you so that it can assist in your healing and manifestation of your innate magnificence.
